128th Philippine Independence Day commemoration with Tree-Growing and Youth Empowerment Activities

Borbon, Cebu – June 12, 2026 — In celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day, Blasert Force 568 Inc. spearheaded a series of activities in Borbon, Cebu that underscored its advocacy for environmental care, protection, and preservation, alongside its commitment to drug abuse prevention and youth development.


The day began with early morning tree-growing activities in Galaban, Poblacion, Borbon, led by Mr. Achilles “Kit” Coronel, CPA, Founder, Chairman & CEO of Blasert Force 568 Inc. and Founding President of UNIFFIED – Cebu Chapter. The initiative reinforced the organization’s mission to promote sustainable practices and environmental stewardship within local communities.


In the afternoon, Mr. Coronel conducted a Drug Abuse Prevention Education Lecture, engaging students & community members in discussions on the importance of a drug-free lifestyle and responsible citizenship.


Meanwhile, in a separate event held at Borbon National High School, student-athletes participated in martial arts training sessions organized by Blasert Force and UNIFFIED – Cebu Chapter. Mr. Osias R. Cartagena, Jr., Associate Director for Membership, Education, Training & Development (METDev) of Blasert Force and VP – Communications of UNIFFIED – Cebu Chapter, facilitated a Wushu Martial Arts Training in the morning. In the afternoon, Mr. Vincent I. Caballes, VP – Operations (Cebu North) of UNIFFIED – Cebu Chapter, conducted an Arnis Training. Both activities were held at the request of BNHS Principal Atty. Renelyn Regis-Gagarino, who emphasized the value of sports in instilling discipline and resilience among students.


These Independence Day activities were made possible through the support of UNIFFIED – Inglewood (CA) Chapter, represented by Engr. Richard Maghanoy, Executive Vice President, Uniffied Inc., and the Knights of Rizal – District 30 (NY) Chapter, represented by Mr. Flo Coronel, KCR, Chapter Commander.


“Our Independence Day celebration is not only about honoring our nation’s history, but also about empowering our youth to lead with integrity, discipline, and care for the environment,” said Mr. Coronel.


Through these initiatives, Blasert Force 568 Inc. and its partners reaffirmed their dedication to building stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities in Cebu.
