1st Year Anniversary on 2024 National Heroes’ Day!

What a fitting tribute to our national heroes as we celebrated our 1st Year Anniversary on Sunday, 26 August 2024, a National Heroes' Day in the Philippines. We held this momentous occasion with the participation of the various LGUs, PNP units and other government line agencies.

Amongst the notable projects/activities we had from the past year were:

1.     Assistance in the relief goods packing operations at the Visayas Disaster Resource

Center (VDRC) based on our signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the

Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD);

2.     Participation in the Drug Abuse Prevention & Education (D.A.P.E.) Seminars with the

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 7;

3.     Feeding Programs at the various Public Elementary Schools in Cebu Province;

4.     Attended Deputation Seminars with the Cebu City Environment & Natural Resources

Office (CCENRO) on to become Deputized Enforcement Officers of CCENRO

5.    Regular checkpoint operations with the PNP thru the Unified Force Multipliers –

Mandaue Cty, Cebu;

6.    Tree-planting activities at the various barangays in Cebu City & Cebu province.

7.    Destruction of PHP 374M worth of illegal drugs with PDEA R7;

8.    Participation in various cultural & religious activities such as the Dawn Mass, All

Saints/All Souls Day, Holy Week, Suroy-Suroy Sugbo, Pasigarbo sa Sugbo, etc.;

9.    Participation in various community activities like crowd control during town fiesta,

disco, sports tournament, beauty pageant, etc.;

10.  Regular participation in Cebu City’s quarterly Citywide Cleanup Challenge;

11.  Educational campaign on environmental conservation, protection & preservation;

12. Providing escorts and burial assistance to members and their next of kin.

These are just amongst the many activities we’ve been involved with plus our own (internal) livelihood activities thru our Project R.I.C.H. program.

To the many men & women volunteers of this organization, you are considered as the unsung heroes of the modern day as you have unselfishly offered your time, resources and efforts, without any compensation or expecting anything in return, all for the betterment of our communities and the good of our society.
