Bringing Christmas Cheer to Sitio Panas: Relief Goods Distribution in Lamintak Sur, Medellin, Cebu

On 21 December 2025, the spirit of Christmas reached Sitio Panas, Lamintak Sur, Medellin, Cebu, as families and children gathered to receive much-needed relief packages. This heartfelt initiative was made possible through the generosity of Healing in Harmony, a coalition of 24 U.S.-based organizations from New York that came together to raise funds through a benefit concert held on 29 November 2025.

Extending Aid and Joy

 A total of 127 households and more than 70 children were blessed with Christmas relief packages. Each package was thoughtfully prepared to meet both practical needs and bring festive joy, containing: Rice, Canned goods, Noodles, spaghetti packs, hygiene kits and children’s joy packages filled with treats and surprises These items were distributed with the aim of not only providing sustenance but also uplifting spirits during the holiday season, especially for families affected by recent calamities.

Organized with Care

The distribution was spearheaded by Blasert Force 568 Inc., a Civil Society Organization accredited with various government agencies and local government units. The event was held immediately after a Drug Abuse Prevention Lecture conducted by Mr. Achilles “Kit” Coronel, Founder and Chairman of Blasert Force 568 Inc., and Member of the Cebu City Police Office - Advisory Group for Police Transformation & Development headed by its Chairperson, Mrs. Marlinda Angbetic-Tan., in partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). This integration of relief and education reflects the organization’s holistic approach to community support—addressing both immediate needs and long-term well-being.

A Continuing Mission

 This effort in Sitio Panas is just one of many planned distributions across Northern Cebu this December. The initiative seeks to extend aid to families who continue to recover from the recent earthquake and typhoon that struck the region. By combining resources, compassion, and coordinated action, Healing in Harmony and Blasert Force 568 Inc. are ensuring that affected communities feel the warmth of solidarity during the holiday season.
