Christmas Relief Through Harmony and Healing

CARMEN, Cebu — December 24, 2025. Residents of Sitio Tabuk, Corte, Carmen welcomed Christmas with much-needed relief packages distributed by Blasert Force 568 Inc., in partnership with Healing in Harmony, a coalition of 24 New York–based organizations.
The initiative was made possible through funds raised at a benefit concert organized by Healing in Harmony on November 29, 2025, in New York. Part of the proceeds were directed to support survivors of the recent earthquake and typhoons that struck Northern Cebu.
Blasert Force 568 Inc., a civil society organization accredited with various government agencies and local government units, spearheaded the distribution under the leadership of its Founder and Chairman, Mr. Achilles B. Coronel. “This project is not only about giving relief goods but also about restoring hope,” Mr. Coronel said. “We want families to feel that they are not forgotten, especially during Christmas.”
Prior to the relief activity, Blasert Force members and local residents conducted a tree-planting program, planting approximately 130 native Philippine trees. The effort forms part of the organization’s continuing advocacy for environmental protection and flood mitigation.
Community members expressed gratitude for the assistance, noting that the packages brought joy and comfort during the holiday season.
“We lost so much during the typhoon, but today we feel blessed,” said Virginia Dorong, a mother of three from Sitio Tabuk. “The food and supplies mean we can celebrate Christmas together without worrying about tomorrow.”
“Planting trees and receiving these goods makes us feel part of something bigger,” added resident Gloria Malinao. “It shows that rebuilding is not just about houses, but also about caring for our land.”
Healing in Harmony’s support was warmly acknowledged by Blasert Force 568 Inc., which extended its thanks to the coalition for helping make Christmas brighter for families in Carmen.
“We are deeply grateful to Healing in Harmony for their generosity,” Mr. Coronel emphasized. “Their solidarity reminds us that compassion knows no borders.”
