Oslob, Cebu – February 14, 2026. Members of Blasert Force 568 Inc. joined the tree‑planting initiative in Barangay Gawi, Oslob, Cebu, in collaboration with the local government unit led by Barangay Captain Hon. Archie Medina. The activity was held on Valentine’s Day, underscoring the community’s commitment to environmental protection and conservation.
The group departed Cebu City at 4:30 a.m. and arrived in Gawi around 8:00 a.m. After a quick breakfast of coffee, rice, chicken, and noodles, participants proceeded to the mountain highway for the tree‑planting activity. The site, located along the barangay road high in the mountains, was chosen to provide shade and help prevent soil erosion on the steep slopes.
Despite the heat of the midday sun, the volunteers planted hundreds of native trees, demonstrating resilience and dedication to the cause. Following the activity, the team gathered at the Barangay Hall for lunch prepared by Captain Medina.
In the afternoon, Blasert Force continued its advocacy work with a Drug Abuse Prevention Education (D.A.P.E.) lecture held at Nueva Caceres, near the beachfront of the historic St. Joseph the Carpenter Parish Church.
Blasert Force 568 Inc. led by its Founder, Chairman & CEO Achilles "Kit" Coronel, CPA, is a civic organization dedicated to multi‑advocacy programs under its Heritage of Empowerment framework, which rests on three pillars: Education, Protection, and Empowerment.
