The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) is the implementing agency of the government’s agricultural insurance program operating as an attached agency of the Department of Finance. The PCIC’s principal mandate is to provide insurance protection to farmers against losses arising from natural calamities, plant diseases and pest infestations of their palay and corn crops as well as other crops, poultry & livestocks, etc.
Since we have plenty of member-farmers in our organization, Chairman & Founder Kit Coronel made representations with PCIC Region 7 OIC, Ms. Paulita Poye Castañares-Secuya, for their low-cost (and sometimes free) insurance coverage a lot of people don't know about.
PCIC also has a Life & Group Accident Insurance which Chairman Kit & OIC Poye are interested in signing a Memorandum of Agreement with. Both agreed to meet again to discuss the details.
