Honorable officials of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Distinguished guests, fellow advocates, ladies and gentlemen:
On behalf of Blasert Force 568 Inc., I stand before you with deep humility and gratitude as we receive this recognition as one of PDEA’s outstanding partners in the fight against illicit drugs.
This honor is not ours alone. It belongs to every officer, member, and volunteer who has dedicated time, energy, and conviction to the cause of prevention and education. It belongs to the communities who opened their doors to our Drug Abuse Prevention Education (D.A.P.E.) lectures, and to the youth, parents, and teachers who embraced the message that knowledge is the most powerful antidote to addiction.
As a PDEA-accredited Civil Society Organization, and with several of our officers trained as PDEA-accredited lecturers, Blasert Force 568 Inc. has sought to complement enforcement with enlightenment. We believe that while operations against drug syndicates are necessary to protect our people, education is essential to protect our future.
Our campaigns are not just lectures—they are civic rituals, symbolic acts of resistance against darkness. Each pledge taken, each mural painted, each candle lit during our programs is a reminder that communities can rise together, not in fear, but in hope.
It is in this spirit that I am writing a book, Healing A Wounded Nation: Civil Society, Education and the War Against Drugs, which I look forward to sharing with you once completed.
Tonight’s recognition strengthens our resolve. It tells us that civil society and government, hand in hand, can build a Philippines where prevention is celebrated, where rehabilitation is embraced, and where education shields our youth from the lure of drugs.
To PDEA, we thank you for your trust and partnership. To our fellow advocates, let us continue to march together in this sacred duty. And to our communities, may this award remind us that the fight against drugs is not only a campaign—it is a covenant for life, dignity, and nationhood.
Maraming salamat. May we remain steadfast in the light of prevention, in the spirit of civic service, and in the hope of a drug‑free nation.
