With support from our official partner, the United Federation of Fil-Am Educators (UNIFFIED) Inglewood (CA) Chapter led by its President Engr. Richard Maghanoy and EVP Doc Gem Jovi Oca, we completed the 3-day PDEA-Accredited Lecturers’ Training program for the 2nd batch of Blasert Force 568 Inc. trainees.
Over the course of three immersive Sundays, participants embarked on a journey of learning, growth, and collaboration. 17 August 2025 not only commemorates the successful completion of this 3-day training program, but also reflects its significance, the skills acquired, and the opportunities that now lie ahead.
The primary purpose of the training was to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills relevant to their roles and responsibilities as PDEA-Accredited Lecturers. The program was designed to foster active engagement, encourage critical thinking, and promote a spirit of teamwork. Each day was structured to build upon the previous day's lessons, resulting in a comprehensive and cohesive learning experience.
Structure of the Program
· Day 1: Introduction, foundational concepts, and initial skill-building activities.
· Day 2: Advanced topics, group workshops, and problem-solving sessions.
· Day 3: Real-world application, actual D.A.P.E. lectures, and final assessments.
The training welcomed a diverse group of attendees from various backgrounds and Blasert Force commands. Their commitment to learning and adaptability contributed to a vibrant and supportive environment throughout the program.
The 3-day training program was transformative in several key ways:
· Skills Development: Attendees acquired and refined skills essential for their roles.
· Teamwork: Collaborative exercises strengthened relationships and fostered a sense of unity as each participant committed to assist other commands with drug abuse prevention education lectures.
· Confidence: Participants gained confidence in their abilities to handle complex tasks and scenarios, especially in their presentation & communication skills.
· Problem-Solving: Exposure to real-world challenges enhanced critical thinking and decision-making capabilities. Able to answer any questions with clarity.
· Continuous Learning: The program instilled a mindset of ongoing growth and
development.
The successful completion of the 3-day training program is not merely an endpoint, but a springboard for further growth and achievement. Participants depart equipped with new skills, fresh perspectives, and the confidence to tackle future challenges. By fostering a culture of learning and collaboration, this training has laid the groundwork for ongoing success—both for the individuals and the organization as a whole.
We thank PDEA 7 for the opportunity to develop our skills and gain further knowledge about drug abuse prevention and the use of illegal substances as we vowed to share our learnings to the wider community, hoping to be able to contribute significantly to PDEA’s drug demand reduction strategy.
We also thank the CCPO – Advisory Group for Police Transformation & Development (CCPO-AGPTD) for its encouragement and moral support to all our endeavours. And to the Lower Betania Homeowners Association led by its President, Ms. Joy Rosalejos & Son-oc Homeowners Association thru its Vice President, Mr. Paquito Campomanes, for allowing us to conduct Drug Abuse Prevention Lectures in their communities.
