Sunday 17 March 2024 marked our 1st Tree Planting activity and clean-up drive in the Mountain Barangay of Adlaon, Cebu City after obtaining seedlings for Philippine Native Trees such as Narra, Ylang-ylang, Molave (Tugas), Taguilomboy & Cinnamon Trees. This is part of our advocacy of contributing to the environmental protection & preservation and improve its biodiversity. This was done in cooperation with the Cebu City Police Office Advisory Group for Police Transformation & Development (CCPOAGPTD).

Many thanks to the Cebu City Environment & Natural Resources Office (CCENRO) thru its Department Head, Sir Reymarr Zamora Hijara for providing us the seedlings for this activity.

We also took the opportunity to discuss with our members, ways on how to reduce our electricity consumption. Reduction in wattage usage means less electricity consumption resulting in reduced carbon emission and help fight climate change. This was explained well by Engr. Rosswell D. Ardina, one of our National Livelihood Officers.

The star of the show though is our very own Agar Tree (Aquilaria Malaccensis specie) which produces agarwood, the world's most expensive wood commonly referred to as the "Wood of the Gods". Reduced electricity consumption and planting of Agar Trees are also part of our livelihood program dubbed: Project RICH (Revolutionary Incentive for Community Harvests). We've already started planting ours, when are you gonna plant yours?
